Web Application Software Development
Web-based applications are quickly replacing traditional client/server applications. We have designed and developed several web-based applications. Our most notable are:
- A medical record tracking system used by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) that processes over 15 GB of data; includes customizable workflows, threading, timers, web services and a 3-tier distributed architecture.
- A financial information and vouchering system used by CMS contractors across the country.
- A package delivery system for an overnight courier; that prints labels and tracks packages on-line; contains administrative features such as coordinating pickup calls with drivers; and links to client/server application and a PDA application. Both of these applications were developed by Edaptive.
- A Contractor Proposal, Workload, Invoicing and Progress Reporting System which allows contractors to enter business proposals for task orders and submit invoices. Includes support for subcontractors and a variety of analysis tools and reports. It is used extensively by CMS and their major contractors such as Lockheed Martin, EDS and CSC.
- A proposal management system used by CMS to publish RFPs, receive electronic quotes and process Q&As.
- A national web calendar and address book used by 1000s of government employees to coordinate meetings and contacts.
- A web service for companies that want to incorporate shipping and tracking into their applications. This service allows developers to add these abilities to software projects: create a manifest, create shipping labels and track packages.

PDA Software Development

The size and cost of PDAs make them a popular tool to use in the field to communicate with the home office. Here are some of the applications we have recently developed:
- A courier application with barcodes used by drivers when delivering and picking up packages. Also wrote the conduit that transfers the data to the office client/server application (also written by Edaptive).
- Several PDA applications and conduits for John Deere that are part of their office application package used by farmers; PDAs are used in the field to track information on planting, fertilizing and harvesting.
- Ported and enhanced an application for a world-wide company that allows 1400+ users to inventory merchandise in a store and transmit data back to the home office.
- Developing a wireless warehouse inventory barcode system for a major carpet distributor that will allow them to inventory their warehouse in record time.
- Developing a PDA app that will be used by field sales agents based in New York that are selling energy contracts.
